What is The Expat Card?
 
The Expat Card is a lifestyle offers card that gives cardholders exclusive discounts on products and services from companies in and around the Zurich area, online, and a few with branches in other cities.
 
The main idea of the card is to introduce expats, through the offers, to all the great things available to them in Zurich.  Many of us find it hard to settle into life in Zurich, and sometimes it is the simple things that can make it the hardest: Not knowing where to go out for a nice meal, a good manicure, a spa treatment, a show, etc.  The Expat Card opens up a whole new world of experiences to you!
 
How does the card work?
 
It’s simple.  After purchasing a card, you go to www.theexpatcard.ch.  In the Products and Services section the offers have been broken down into categories to suit all interests.  You need only click on the offers you are interested in to see how the company wants you to redeem the offer.  With the majority of businesses, you need only show the card at the point of purchase.  Some companies decide to leave an offer all year long, but some may change to suit different periods, so it is always good to see what is new and on offer.  All new offers are listed on the homepage for easy notification, as well as on our newsletter, Facebook and Twitter pages.
 
Is The Expat Card a credit card?
 
No, it may look like a credit card, but it is simply a card personalized with your name, card number, and an expiry date.
 
Will the card automatically renew my subscription every year?
 
No, you just pay for a yearly membership, and enjoy the card for a year from the date you receive your card.  Once the card expires, you can throw it away.  It is your choice whether or not you buy a new subscription, so there is no stress to have to cancel a subscription or be charged penalty fees.
